Does your little one love trucks but you struggle to find an easy storage solution? Well, you can make this easy DIY Toy Truck Parking garage with two inexpensive Amazon products!
My son absolutely loves toy trucks but I can not stand how they are all over the house and are a major tripping hazard. I wanted a simple storage solution to get my son involved in cleaning that would be more exciting than the basket we were currently using. So I went on Pinterest and didn’t really see much that could accommodate a variety of toy vehicle sizes. Then I found this shelf that was wayy more than I wanted to spend and had just okay reviews.
So I got to brain storming and came up with the perfect solution once I saw this play road tape.
For this easy DIY all you need are two simple Amazon products and literally only 15 minutes of time and you’ll have a great storage solution for all your kids toy trucks!
Once you have all your supplies, you simply tape the road tape down and then put your shelves together and that’s it! I recommend putting the tape down on the shelves before you put them together and then simply poke a hole through the tape (don’t worry the tape is kinda like washi tape and easy to cut) then put the tubes together. I did this on the top shelf but not the middle and bottom but wish I had because the width of the shelf is perfect for exactly 6 rows. You can also run your tape the opposite direction so feel free to customize!
If you haven’t seen these turn tube furniture products from Amazon before, they are awesome for lightweight simple furniture that won’t break the bank! Literally anyone can put them together in a few minutes and they come in an endless number of sizes and shapes. I have an end table already that I use in our living room next to our sectional and absolutely love it! The lightweight simple design makes it very easy to move as needed for cleaning.
My son loves his parking garage so much and now every night before bed we “park” all his trucks and he is very excited to help! I would love to see your finished project so please upload a photo to my pin under the comment section!
